Here I am again making jewellery, I find it quite relaxing and I am inspired by my friend and fellow beader Stacey! For this next piece I wanted to use acrylic.During last semester I was left with various acrylic rods and really want to chop them up and make a light of some kind (but will have to sweet talk my dad into lending me his band sew first!) So for this item I decided to make a necklace using transparent acrylic with silver wire wrapped around accompanied by pearl beads. I like neutral colours and feel the materials complement each other well.

I decided to use some more of the felt to make bracelet and ring to match the necklace:

I have revamped a broken necklace I found in my room. I didn’t want to use beads or metal so thought I would use felt. I wasn’t sure how strong felt would be but it is quite effective.  Felt jewellery is a huge craze within the craft industry, just searching google thousands of examples appear.

New necklace made tonight, using up supplies from my 3rd year modules. I would really love to do some laser cut jewellery next year if I can get time on the cutter!
